Role Overview
As a Health and Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental protection standards within our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to create a safe working environment for all employees.
This position requires to take a professional training in China, but the skill of Chinese is not necessary.
What You Will Do
1. Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions.
4. Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices and emergency procedures.
5. Collaborate with management and other departments to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
6. Ensure all health and safety documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
About You
1. Major in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Familiarity with safety regulations and standards applicable to chemical manufacturing.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and investigations.
5. Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Chinese is not required but the willingness to learn Chinese and adapt to the local culture is necessary.
