1. Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a large - scale warehouse, managing domestic logistics within the United States, and will eventually take charge of import - export activities. 2. Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
- Inventory Control:
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels. Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory turnover rates and make data - driven decisions to reduce obsolete inventory while ensuring product availability for customer orders.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Ensure that all operations are carried out in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to improve operational efficiency. Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure proper equipment maintenance and availability.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff. Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and employee satisfaction.
Domestic Logistics Management
- Transportation Planning:
- Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods within the United States. Select appropriate carriers, negotiate favorable rates, and ensure timely and cost - effective delivery of products to customers.
- Monitor and manage transportation schedules, tracking shipments to proactively address any potential delays or issues.
- Logistics Network Optimization:
- Analyze the domestic logistics network to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other partners to streamline processes, reduce transit times, and lower transportation costs.
- Implement best practices in logistics operations, such as route optimization, load planning, and carrier management.
- Customer Service and Order Fulfillment:
- Ensure seamless order fulfillment by coordinating with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams. Monitor order statuses and communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential changes.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to logistics and delivery issues promptly and effectively, working to resolve problems to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Future Import - Export Management
- International Trade Compliance:
- Prepare for future responsibilities by gaining knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and import - export documentation. Ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade policies and communicate potential impacts to the management team.
- Supplier and Partner Management:
- Identify and establish relationships with international suppliers and partners. Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing for import - export activities.

3. Qualifications
