Position: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Portsmouth, VA

Pay: Starting at $17.37/hour

Experience: 4-6 years experience in mechanical and HVAC trades. Knowledge of HVAC systems and building repairs.

Education: High school diploma or vocational/technical education in building trades.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

HireOne Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Handle building maintenance and appliance repairs
• Perform general maintenance and repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
• Supervise maintenance staff and manage work schedules
• Operate motorized vehicles and maintenance equipment

Position Requirements:

• Supervisory experience and a Virginia Gas Fitter License (preferred)
• Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to interpret blueprints and strong problem-solving skills
• Stoop, kneel, bend, and climb ladders with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
