DescriptionThe PUPI Line Support will work in any area of the PUPI Department and is responsible for all aspects of PUPI production to include, but not limited to, accurate cutting of beams and bushings, bushing placement, foam filling, cross arm cleanup, assembly and palletizing. In addition to the items mentioned above, this position is also responsible for producing product which meets all aspects of the PUPI Quality Program as well as ensuring the accuracy of outgoing orders. Will also help in any other area of the plant as needed. We are hiring for the following:
- PUPI Days: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm
- PUPI Nights: Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 3:30am (+$1.00/hr shift premium)
- PUPI Wknd Days: Friday - Sunday, 5:00am - 5:30pm (+4 bonus hours if you work all 36 hours)
- PUPI Wknd Nights: Friday - Sunday, 5:00pm - 5:30am (+1.00/hr shift premium AND +4 bonus hours if you work all 36 hours)
Job Description
- Responsible for PUPI product quality and accuracy of outgoing orders
- Foam and/or assemble all necessary products that work orders call out in a timely manner, following all work instructions
- Understand the drill specs and the necessary hardware for each application
- Foam and/or assemble and palletize product for shipment according to company standards and adhere to the Quality policy guidelines
- Clean the workstation and surrounding area and maintain an orderly workstation
- Record necessary information on the work orders and submit daily as required
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Assist with cycle counts as requested
- Reports to work prepared and on time
- Supports the Mission of the organization and adheres to all company policies
- Performs other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High attention to detail, quality, productivity and safety required
- Ability to accurately count and record in production documents
- Able to read and write the English language
- Mechanically inclined and able to read a tape measure
- Able to work productively with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem solving skills are essential
Physical Work ConditionsPosition is located on the production floor, standing for up to 12 hours a day. Work with or around power tools, loud equipment and chemicals.
