Location: Irvine, California (On-site)
Internship duration: 12-16 weeks
The candidate will be performing in the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
• Research and evaluate new transceiver architectures for next generation 200+Gbps PHYs
• Collaborate and take ownership of challenging building blocks in state-of-the-art high speed PHY transceivers, that includes receiver front end, VGA, ADC, DAC, PLL, VCO, serializer and de-serializers, etc.
• Verification of transceivers operation and response under stringent channel requirements
The project is in early stages of development, so interns will get a great opportunity to learn and gain experience through the difference design phases and interaction with industry veterans and expertise.
Requirement
• Students currently are pursuing Masters or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering
• Student must have taken at least 2 years of analog and RF IC design course work which includes design of biasing circuits, operational amplifiers and feedback circuits
• Knowledge about high-speed ADC/DAC Design including sampling circuits and comparators
• Proficient in using Cadence analog design software to simulate dc, ac, noise, loop-stability and time-domain behavior of circuits.
• Industry experience is a plus
Salary range: $40-$60/hour
Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications.
