Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular Board of Regents (BOR) and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave). Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected begin December 2024 or soon thereafter.

Duties:

* Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the Mental Health Counseling Psychology Training Clinic, ensuring space planning, equipment acquisition, and service offerings support the clinical training of master's students.

* Identify, pursue, and secure funding opportunities through grants and fundraising efforts to support clinic development, ongoing operations, and student training initiatives.

* Oversee the start-up, daily management, and pilot testing of the clinic, including supervision of staff and master's students, budgeting, and service delivery.

* Ensure compliance with legal regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices by developing policies and procedures that maintain high standards for both clinical services and student training.

* Serve as the clinic's liaison with university administration and external partners, promoting its services, building community partnerships, and enhancing student practicum experiences.

* Conduct other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* A master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

* Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist or counselor.

* At least 2 years of experience in clinical program development, including experience with clinic operations or similar settings.

* Proven experience in writing and securing grants, particularly for healthcare or educational initiatives.

* Strong understanding of clinical training models, ethical standards, and accreditation requirements.

* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive grant proposals.

Desirable Qualifications:

* A Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

* Experience in establishing and managing mental health training clinics within a university or similar setting.

* A successful track record of securing large-scale grants and managing funded projects.

* Familiarity with community mental health needs and experience in community outreach and engagement.

* Leadership experience in an academic or clinical environment, including supervision of staff and students.

* Knowledge of innovative clinical training practices and the integration of technology into clinical services.
