Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough analysis of operational system data to support new business requirements, quantifying data categories, creating threshold bands, and developing visualizations in dashboards that provide actionable insights. This role is essential in providing insights into business processes and streamlining improvements across the entire end-to-end systems from Sales to Commissions. Data Analysis & Interpretation:
  • Conduct upfront analysis of operational system data when there is a new requirement, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Quantify categories and create threshold bands to provide meaningful segmentation and analysis.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to identify key drivers of performance and provide actionable insights.
Dashboard & Visualization Development:
  • Design and develop intuitive and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI that effectively communicate insights to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with BI Engineers/Developers and Report Developers to integrate visualizations into existing reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure visualizations are scalable, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
  • Analyze end-to-end processes from Sales to Commissions, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights that help streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve data quality.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to recommend and implement process improvements based on data-driven insights.
Data Quality & Governance:
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and analysis activities.
  • Work with the Data Architect and other team members to establish data quality standards and best practices.
  • Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the BI team, ensuring that data insights are effectively communicated and understood.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other data analysts, BI engineers, and report developers to ensure a cohesive approach to data analytics and reporting.
Support & Maintenance:
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing dashboards and reports, making updates and enhancements as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data analysis and reporting in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a Business Intelligence or data-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Experience in analyzing data from multiple operational systems and databases.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • SQL and experience with database querying.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in financial or operational reporting.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
  • Python and/or Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis.
