The Honors College at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Program Coordinator.
About the Opportunity
This position serves as Program Coordinator for the Honors College upper-level experiential learning program, meeting the mission of the Honors College by assisting and supporting students throughout their enrollment in the program. The position works with and reports to the Associate Dean of the Honors College.

What You'll Do
- Recruit and advise students applying for the Honors College upper-level experiential learning program through conducting workshops and information sessions in and out of classrooms, organizing and distributing program information, convening and coordinating with faculty mentors and academic advisers, and managing all logistical aspects of the program.
- Assist students with developing a plan to meet program requirements, including one-on-one meetings to provide feedback.
- Maintain internal student records for the program using the software provided (likely Suitable) to track student progress through the program.
- Liaise with the Honors College Records Assistant to ensure students' DegreeWorks are accurate.
- Represent, along with Honors College administrators, the Honors College and its programming, specifically the upper-level experiential learning program to internal and external constituencies.
- Participate in programmatic assessment, such as exit interviews or surveys of students, mentors and community partners.
- Coordinate with Honors College events team to recognize students' completion of program requirements prior to graduation.
- Manage daily communication through a vanity email account.
- Serve on college/university committees as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with units inside WVU, such as the Office of Undergraduate Research, the ASPIRE office, the Center for Community Engagement, the Office of Global Affairs and Career Services, among others.
- Develop content for the program website, social media accounts, and newsletter.
- Work with Honors College communications team for regular website review, update, and upkeep
- Correspond with program alumni and track their future pursuits.
- Attend conferences and other professional development events.
- Coordinate communication with stakeholders using databases, listserv and MailChimp.
- Assist with program development and policy.
- Act as a liaison between faculty and the program
- Facilitate with the Honors team, any spending on behalf of students and their projects
- Manage all relevant software to support the program (Suitable, Qualtrics, Navigate, etc).
Qualifications
- Master's degree
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a student service area.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Masters that includes a thesis.
- Experience in higher education
