Rome Health is seeking a Licensed / Credentialed Substance Use Disorder Counselor. The position is located at our outpatient clinic, Community Recovery Center.Qualifications:NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification (including CASAC-T certification) or;NYS licensed QHP: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC with one year experience working with individuals with substance use disordersKnowledge Required:•Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders•Knowledge of the DSM - 5 and the ability to substantiate criteria and provide basis for SUD diagnosis.•Knowledge of Professional Standards/ Canon of Ethics and OASAS 822 regulations•Knowledge of case management including availability of resources and referral processes.Primary Responsibilities:Maintaining a caseload - Facilitating individual sessions and group sessionsIntake screenings and clinical assessmentsProviding treatment recommendationsAssisting patients with treatment planningCrisis InterventionProviding case management, linkage and referrals as appropriateThis position is a Per Diem position. Typical days/hours include Tuesday and Thursday evenings 4-8 pm.
