Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of children and contribute to a brighter and healthier future for all.Summary:This position is responsible for providing a positive warm welcomes and fond farewells to all who present at any public entrance of a hospital campus, CHST and other identified entrances. This position is also responsible for the badging, infection prevention screening and verification of appropriate campus access. This position is responsible for ensuring CHST employees have completed a health screening process as they enter a CHST facility to begin their shift. Concierge will present a positive public image via coordination of hospital systems and patient information to families.Responsibilities:* Greet each person, regardless of visit reason, in a friendly, welcoming tone that provides an excellent impression of the organization. This includes helping visitors in high stress situations, understand process for identifying visitors with special accommodations and remaining calm and professional throughout interaction and making proper referrals to other departments to meet customer needs.* Identify any regulatory or accreditation visitors that arrive on campus. Alert Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness chain of command immediately about visitors and ensure the visitors are escorted properly.* Assist each visitor through the badging and screening process. This includes registering visitor in Fast Pass, navigating the badging software system, asking infectious disease screening questions, recognizing frequent visitors and problem-solving issues as they arise, providing directions for navigating the wayfinding system.* Partner with security to identify and properly address visitors who are registered sex offenders, BOLO (Be on the lookout) guests, alert security on visitors who arrive who have been issued Criminal Trespass citations and follow directives.* Serve as an on-site screener to ensure all workers (employees, contractors, consultants, non-employees and all others needing to perform a function for CHST, excluding patients and their guardians and or families) have completed a health screen before reporting to their department and or starting their shift. Distribute screening stickers and masks to the workers once proof of a valid screen is shown* Facilitate the visitation of confidential patients. This includes interacting with visitors in a way that does not disclose patient information, navigate EPIC to quickly find patients within the system and identify correct location and confidential statuses of patients, partnering with clinical staff to verify passwords and visitor names and enforcing the confidential process when visitors are unable to identify correct passwords. Maintains patient privacy and HIPPA standards at all times.* Accept or deny deliveries being made for patients and staff. Ensure all deliveries accepted are made in a timely fashion. Communicate with customers regarding deliveries that need to be picked up from a desk.* Provide oversight for volunteers serving in an Ambassador role. Ensure volunteers are trained appropriately, volunteer time is well managed and build relationships with volunteers to promote volunteer service.* Ensure maintenance of clean, neat, screening station at specific entry points in multiple locations throughout CHST. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures with workers in a supportive and positive manner; and support the mission, philosophy and policies of Children's Health and integrate these values into behavior.* Assist families and staff with accessing wagons and wheelchairs for patient usage. Maintaining log of wagons and wheelchairs for the campus(s) and locate lost assets. Ensure wagons and wheelchairs are in clean, working order and that repairs are made in a timely fashion.* Serve as a liaison in the Emergency Departments between patients, families and ED staff. Maintain a clean, functional waiting area and awareness of patient statuses within the waiting area. Provide items of comfort for those in the waiting area.* Assist patients and families as needed with the kiosk check in process for appointments.* Facilitate vendor check in process through Vendor mate.
