Position Title: KITCHEN STAFFLocation: Saint Peter, MNEmployement Type: Non-ExemptBase Pay: $16.17 - $21.87 / HourDescription:Essential Functions- Deliver meals to rooms at designated times in a polite and friendly manner.- Clean and set up dining tables and food trays.- Uphold our high standards for food safety and sanitation.- Listen and make note of residents' food and drink requests and needs.- Assist in the kitchen as needed, including cooking, stocking ingredients, dishwashing and maintaining equipment.- Inspect food, food preparation and storage areas.- Communicate with medical staff to ensure nutritional goals are being met for each patient.- Remove and dispose of food items that are past their expiration dates- Other duties as prescribed by Manager/LeadRequirements:- - Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with patient needs.- Must be able to walk/stand 80% of the shift- At least a high school diploma or equivalent- Certification in food services preferred- Must be able to push, pull and/or carry up to 90 pounds- Skilled in operating cooking appliances and preparing meals according to instructionSummary:This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) position, working primarily 10:00am to 6:30pm shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
