WORKING AT BCI PACKAGINGWe have two BCI Packaging production facilities in Missouri. Our organizational headquarters in St. Peters has 60,000 sq. ft. of production space, warehouse and executive offices, and accommodates 19 production lines. The building also features Andrew's Clubhouse and Andrew's Outfield, special indoor and outdoor St. Louis Cardinals-themed gathering spaces funded by our friends at Andrew's Hugs. The second facility in Moscow Mills has 23,000 sq. ft. of production floor and warehouse space and operates 5 production lines. This is a unique facility that is smaller than St. Peters and is compliant in Safe Quality Food regulations. Both facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art features to help keep our employees safe at work.Our focus on creating fulfilling work opportunities for adults with disabilities goes beyond the job.   • Unpacking and repacking to customer specs
  • Assembling raw materials into finished goods
  • Gathering items into a kit
  • Inspecting/sorting/reworking for quality
  • Sending boxes or bags through machinery
  • Palletizing and labeling
QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENTUnder the Organizational Employment Program at BCI, individuals must be at least 18 years of age and have a documented disability. We serve people with Autism, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Epilepsy, and other disabilities. Other minimum criteria include:
  • 18 years or older
  • Documented disability (the documented disability will be used for certification through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education)
  • Be independent in self-care needs (example: toileting, mobility, etc), including self-administration of medications
  • Able to work at least 20% of the established productivity rate in repetitive motion packaging and assembly
  • Capable of following appropriate safety measures and be incident free of any aggressive behaviors
  • Have the desire to participate in a learning work environment with supports
