PAY RATE: $12.45 per hour (Up to 1,500 hours per year)Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $3.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older or high school graduate and have a valid Michigan Driver's LicenseGENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Work activities in this position primarily involve the maintenance of park grounds.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.Performs grounds maintenance around the pool, marina, and shore areas.Empties trash barrels.Picks up litter using a prod or by hand.Maintains and weeds flower beds.Cleans picnic areas, restrooms, and roadsides.Operates push mower and weed whip to maintain lawn areas.Operates golf cart and utility vehicles.Operates light riding mower to maintain lawns.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work in all weather conditions.Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors and park visitors.GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.Ability to load, unload and move materials from one location to another.
