Join the inclusive, supportive, and positive team at the Sampson County Department of Social Services as a Social Work Supervisor III in our Child Protective Services program.Position Overview: The Social Work Supervisor III leads a dynamic team of 4-5 Social Worker IATs (Intake, Assessment, and Treatment) in Child Protective Services. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while fostering a collaborative and encouraging work environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Provide direct supervision, professional guidance, and mentorship to your team, fostering growth and excellence.

Considerable knowledge of social work principles, techniques and practices and their application to specific casework and community problems. Considerable knowledge of behavioral and socioeconomic problems and their treatment and governmental and private organizations and community resources. Considerable knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies which govern social work programs. Considerable knowledge of and experience in working with the judicial system. Ability to supervise, train, or orient lower-level social workers, students, interns, or other staff.
