Description The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Laboratory Technician. This position will work in Dr. Tracy Liu's laboratory in the afternoons to support research on tumor-immune interactions, with a focus on immunotherapy and imaging.What You'll Do
- Maintaining the organization and inventory of the lab,
- Performing genotyping
- Processing and reconciling invoices to ensure accurate records
Pay Grade: 10Length of Assignment: Approximately 8.5 months Work Hours: Varies - afternoon 12:00-4:00
Qualifications - Associate's degree.
- Preferred experience involving:
- Basic wet lab techniques such as PCR, cell culture, pipetting, and preparing reagents is an asset but not required.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
