Job Summary: The Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the storeroom, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining accurate records. This role involves supervising storeroom staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage storeroom staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet their material and supply needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a storeroom or warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a storeroom setting.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working in a storeroom or warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
