This is an exciting time to join us as the university is making a concerted effort to develop a data culture to support informed decision making for student success. •The university has initiated its first formal data governance initiative with Institutional Research as a key partner.•Institutional Research is expanding its ability to efficiently disseminate data to stakeholders via the use of analytics tools.With the explicit support of senior university leadership, IR/IEP are poised to lead the university into a new data future. We welcome your interest in joining us!NSU Data Researcher Key Duties•Compile the University's annual Common Data Set (CDS) response•Complete external surveys as assigned (e.g., US News, Petersons, Thurgood Marshall)•Update University Fact Sheets •Update University Fact Book annually•Complete assigned SCHEV data reports and submissions•Complete assigned data requests •Serve on University committees as assigned•Develop, document and maintain data extraction queries using InformerMinimum QualificationsStrong quantitative analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct descriptive and statistical analyses in SPSS or similar analysis program (e.g., SAS). Demonstrated ability to manage and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel and ACCESS. Understanding of state (SCHEV) and federal (IPEDS) reporting requirements. Strong written and oral communication skills.
