SALARY: $20.59 per hour DESCRIPTION: M-F 6.5 hours per day REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED Responsibilities Include:
+ Adapting classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher(s) as requested to support reinforce classroom objectives, student/IEP goals, etc.
+ Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. as requested to support student needs in the classroom
+ Assists students (e.g. diapering, lifting, transitioning, etc.) as necessary to attend to student's personal hygiene and care needs
+ Attends meetings and in-service presentations as requested
+ Escorts student(s) (e.g. bathroom, classroom, hallway, etc.) as necessary
+ Assists supervising teacher(s) with tasks as requested
+ Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher(s), research based interventions and/or behavior plans
+ Maintains instructional materials and ensures availability of necessary items for student to be successful
+ Monitors student's daily schedule and behavior plan as necessary
+ Provides, under the supervision of assigned teacher(s), instruction to student(s) in a variety of individual and group activities to reinforce instructional objectives, to implement IEP plans, etc.
+ Supervises individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g. field trips, hallways, bus loading areas, cafeteria, assemblies, classrooms, etc.)
+ Assists in preparing the learning environment to allow the student to participate in classroom activities
+ Attends any problem solving/IEP meetings as requested and provides input as to the student's progress
+ Collects data on the student's IEP/individual goals as requested
+ Performs other related duties as assigned
