Banquet servers must have a hospitable mindset, good work ethic, and follow BEO (banquet event order). Shift requirements:Scheduling is done weekly based on event times.Responsibilities
  • Contribute positively to the team within the department
  • Prepare for any and all guest requests
  • Participate in on-going training
  • Set or pre-set tables in banquet functions
  • Serve meals
  • Clear tables at conclusion of meal function
  • Prepare, deliver and refresh coffee stations as assigned
  • Complete all necessary side-work to include filling and stocking salt/pepper shakers
  • Maintain current CA food handlers card
  • Use Paycom or payroll log in system proficiently and ensure time cards are correct for each payroll period, read and update documents including but not limited to hotel policy, health benefits, and other pertinent work-related information.
  • Attend required meetings
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  • Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
  • Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.
  • Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
  • Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and it affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel/CRO operations.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the CRO needs
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Communicates effectively with others
  • Works productively with a team
  • Effective multitasking skills
  • Composure and patience under pressure
  • Previous experience in hotel banquets or F&B banquets
