The Systems and Database Administrator III installs, configures, maintains and supports hardware within our Storage Area Network fo
r multiple complex applications on diverse platforms for business or patient care needs. The Administrator III also ensures the performance, integrity, security and reliability of system components.
- Proficient in troubleshooting SAN/NAS connected systems
- Skilled in disaster recovery planning, testing, auditing, and risk analysis
- Proven ability to drive issues to resolution, manage scope, and take ownership of team objectives
- Hands-on product experience with Isilon, ECS, Pure, and Brocade Fiber Channel Switches
- Experienced in configuring and provisioning SAN storage for Linux, Unix, and Windows hosts via fiber connectivity
- Knowledgeable in protocols: TCP-IP, SNMP, RIP, ICMP, ARP, DHCP, iSCSI, SMB, NFS, S3
- Effective status reporting and project tracking across multiple projects; skilled in project documentation and management
- Strong research, investigation, and evaluation skills
- Adheres to change management procedures and monitors applications/infrastructure post-implementation in production
- Provides support center assistance to troubleshoot and resolve system/database issues (ongoing production support)
- Available to provide 24/7 production system support, including during non-working hours
- Prepares weekly status reports on project progress, issue tracking, risks, and mitigation strategies for management
- Executes special projects and additional duties as assigned
Preferred Criteria Masters in Computer Science or related discipline
