The psychiatrist must utilize best practice techniques to further the recovery and maintain wellness among patients diagnosed with mental illness.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist. Graduate of an approved ACGME Doctoral Program (MD or DO) and completed an internship or residency in Psychiatry.Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English Previous Outpatient Behavioral Health Experience preferred.License/Certifications NYS Physician License and DEA Registry Must obtain Medical Staff Privileges Mandated OMH documentation: Mandated reporter attestation Code of ConductWorking ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Sitting for long periods of time using computer. Managing behavioral disturbance of mentally ill patients. Traveling between sites as needed.
