For more information, visit www.WFGNationalTitle.com.Job Purpose: The Title Specialist IV follows strict procedural guidelines to ensure the proper documents, data and information are accurately entered into the production system. This role demands the ability to work quickly, accurately and pay extreme attention to detail. It is the role of the Title Specialist IV to produce a preliminary title report, commitment, foreclosure report, policy or non-policy information report showing all appropriate liens, encumbrances and how title is vested or perform pre and/or post closing functions and/or provide client support on title or closing products. Essential Job Functions:
  • Research title records to examine both residential and commercial title properties for the purpose of writing title reports, policies, endorsements, and pro-forma policies.
  • Make underwriting decisions on title matters and determine the insurability of title.
  • Minimize the risk exposure of potential losses.
  • Assist escrow, lenders, attorneys, and clients in clearing title.
  • Work with title manager and in-house counsel on extra hazardous risk files.
  • Review surveys and do inspections as needed.
  • Assess the effect of court matters such as bankruptcies, divorces, judgments, foreclosure actions, and other legal matters.
  • Determine premiums for policies and endorsements.
  • Provide technical expertise to escrow, junior examiners and clients.
  • Engage in WFG company culture that emphasizes engagement in our 4 Cs, quality of work and high performance.
  • Update title reports as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of property related documents such as deeds, mortgages, judgments, etc..
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, partners and customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-organizing and ability to remain motivated.
  • Keen sense of urgency.
  • Adaptability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business domain.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three year(s) experience closing, examining title and writing title reports and or/policies or demonstrate a proficiency equivalent to the experience level in a regional full service or multi state sales transactions.
  • ResWare, Title Point and Data Trace experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Fast typing skills including 10-key.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, partners and customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-organizing and ability to remain motivated.
  • Keen sense of urgency.
  • Adaptability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business domain.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance or related field.
  • National title examination experience.
Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. PhysicalRequirements/ADA: No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility. Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 lbs. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:Days and hours of full -time position are flexible and candidate may be asked to be available for assigned shifts Monday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Part-time positions may be considered.
