Assembly Technician Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in (Elgin IL) within the warehouse industry. We are looking for a friendly passionate person to join a great team as Assembly Technician. A charismatic person who loves to be detail orientated organized, punctual, and work in an industrial environment. Assembly Technician Pay: Hours: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm (occasional OT required) Pay: $19.00 p/hr. Daily work is performed in a cleanroom environment - proper PPE and cleanroom apparel must be worn (provided by the company). Assembly Technician Key Deliverables: Assembly, Packaging, and Set-up • Must practice Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions, drawings, and standard operating procedures • Perform setup and basic troubleshooting of equipment Prep & Handling • Start of shift setup of equipment/workstations • End of shift power downs and material storage (i.e. glue, solder paste) • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition • Creates material disposition reports for suspect components and/or product Assembly Technician Inspection and Documentation • Perform visual inspection of intricate components • Coordinates sample submissions for quality inspection • Ensure proper assembly following approved prints, work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Perform in-process quality checks of product as required • Supports the Production Team Lead in the device history record execution (DHR), remediation, and cleaning activities for the assigned line Assembly Technician Administrative • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices and high-quality standards • Complete and review all documentation associated with the manufacturing processes • Comply with Employee Handbook, the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Company policies, procedures, and ISO standard • Perform other work-related duties and special projects as required Assembly Technician Health and Safety • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment • Ensure accountability by following all federal & state laws, NTI safety procedures, as established policies and appropriate use of PPE • Follow safety procedures and keep the area clean and orderly. • Proactively drive to enhance and improve the work environment • Report all safety incidents and observations promptly Assembly Technician Working Conditions: • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and work with your hands throughout the work shift • Excellent hand-eye coordination • Ability to work on intricate components with or without corrective lenses • Ability to stoop, bend or twist to perform assigned job duties • Must wear appropriate clean room attire • Ability to positively react to a constantly changing environment, subject to priority changes and short-notice activity • Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 lbs. • Maintain a good, cooperative, and respectful attitude Minimum Required Education, Skills and Knowledge: • High School diploma or GED • Experience with soldering • Experience performing tasks while using a microscope • Proven ability to perform detailed handwork • Ability to speak, read and write in English • PCB assembly experience is preferred Why Peoplelink?
