Job Description:
Essential Job Functions
  • Communicate on a daily basis with the Head Golf Pro to allow for a coordinatedeffort at providing year round quality experience for members and guests.
  • Assist the Head Golf Pro with the development of the operating and capital budgets.
  • Help analyze all financial statements and reviews income and costs relative togoals.
  • Enforce all of the club rules and regulations governing the use of Floridianfacilities.
  • Participate in development of Golf Operations operating criteria.
  • Develop standards of service for all areas of Golf Operations and an ongoingtraining program for new and returning employees.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising entire Outside Services Operation(Outside Services, Caddies, Valet, Range Attendants).
  • Weekly scheduling of Outside Services employees.
  • Interview all employees for Outside Services.
  • Conduct individual golf lessons along with group clinics.
  • Help select merchandise, both hard and soft goods, that will provide members and guests with the best selection possible while adhering to the budget.
  • Trained in Golf Shop Solutions software to monitor all inventory information.
  • Help with selection of tee gifts, prizes, and special event awards.
  • Involved in monitoring of Jonas POS system and accurate billing on monthlystatements.
  • Enforces golf rules and regulations.
  • Administers GHIN Handicap system and puts together all tournaments.
  • Represents Floridian in golf events including local, state or national events with theapproval of the Director of Golf.
  • Help maintain accurate records regarding rounds of golf, guest play, caddie rounds,and other golf information.
  • Serve as Marshall, Rules Official, or other on-course official as needed.
  • Adheres to federal, state, and local laws regarding health, safety, and employment.
  • Attend local, section, and national seminars, merchandise shows, educational andprofessional shows to encourage development and enhance the image of the club.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with hourly staff.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in PGA GPTP Program.
  • Prior experience as an Assistant Golf Professional.
  • College Degree (Preferred).
  • Must be outgoing with the ability to manage staff.
  • Computer Skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate.
  • Willing to do what it takes to be successful
