Job OverviewThis role is responsible for the preparation, operation, and welding operations on 6-axis robots to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Scope includes welding to customer's specifications (WPS).A Day In The LifeAssist with setting up jobs on the robot fixture. Ensuring all parts are within tolerance and fix on this respected fixture. Perform fixture cleaning and basic machine maintenance.Maintain inventory consumables on hand for robot cells and reduce production downtime through continuous troubleshooting and escalation to management after a certain amount of time.Work with supervision, engineering, and lean resources to drive continuous improvement ideas through the robot cells.Use point to point and/or work objects to program robots. Complete program touchups as long as subcomponents are within the blueprint tolerance. Conduct new part prototype run offs in conjunction with Sales, quality and engineering.Operate the robots and meet production rates when covering for absences or when other programming or troubleshooting work is complete. Furthermore, train robot operators on setup and operation of the robotic equipmentAchieve welding certifications as required by customers and train other operators to achieve the same level of certification.
