Location: Centerline, MI Pay Rate: $17.03/hour
Work Schedule:
- This role operates on a rotating, continuous seven-day work schedule with 12-hour shifts.
- 1st Shift: Starts as early as 4:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Material Handling: Safely lift, move, and place small and large materials across the facility, using overhead cranes, hand trucks, HiLos, or other material handling equipment.
- Skilled Operation: Manage crane controls levers, buttons, and more to regulate crane movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
- Workplace Safety & Cleanliness: Conduct daily inspections of crane hooks, chains, and slings for defects, report any issues promptly, and maintain a clean, debris-free work environment.
- Compliance & Safety: Always wear a hard hat in the crane area and prioritize safety in all operations.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
- Certified/licensed to operate an overhead hoist for loading/unloading materials from trucks.
- Previous experience operating overhead cranes in various facility areas, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication, team collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- A dependable self-starter with a solid attendance record and the drive to work independently or as part of a team.
- Michigan driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and Hilo experience (with successful completion of testing).
