Apply today!About the roleSIGN-ON BONUS - $1,500 (1/2 after 30 days, 1/2 after 90 days)Competitive Hourly Pay Rate and Sign-On Bonus are Available for well-qualified candidates for this opportunity.Annual Bonus Pay and Comprehensive Company Benefits are included.Medical Insurance & other Benefits begin DAY ONE of Employment.Start with 3 weeks of vacation a year!The schedule for this position is first shift hours from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Covanta's industrial disposal process.Position Responsibilities:* Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools* Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary* Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor* Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Covanta facilities and within assigned work areas* Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes: litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention* Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic* Assist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs* Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred* A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment* Must have the ability to work a rotating shift scheduleTotal Rewards & Compensation:* Competitive Base Salary* Day one employee benefits: competitive health insurance options, PTO, retirement savings plan and 401K matchPhysical Demands of the Role:* Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator* Consistently work in various weather conditions* Must be able to work in all locations within the plant, under extremes of hot and cold, and in areas of dust, noise and wet conditions.* Must be able to wear a respirator, climb a ladder to access equipment and work from heights using fall protection, lift heavy objects and other manual labor to including pushing, pulling, sweeping and shoveling.Reworld is a smoke-free work site.This position's expected hourly pay rate is $23.00 - $25.00.This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary will consider various factors, including experience, ability, and location.
