Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood® brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking FORKLIFT OPERATORS for the location in Tuscumbia, AL. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package. Summary: Drives industrial forklift truck to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. Regular shift hours are 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Additional hours can be expected. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed
- Keeps record of inventory.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Lumber experience a plus!
