Compensation: $22 - $23 per hour The Forklift Operator position in Concord, New Hampshire is responsible for Assisting with cleaning and related duties to maintain plant operations and operating a forklift in the movement of bins and equipment. You will primarily work loader operation with various material handling duties, while utilizing a front loader, crusher, Forklift or skid steer while you move Aluminum, Copper, alternators, and other material safely through the yard. You'll have a solid understanding of the production process to ensure goals are met safely and efficiently while conforming to company policies. You will be working outdoors, in the winter and summer months, that offers cooling stations and heat warmers when needed, however, exposure to outdoor weather conditions on a regular basis will be required. Safety boots will be required.This is a full-time 1st shift position! Forklift Operator Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to sit for 6-8 hours per day in 2-3 hour intervals; Standing, walking, bending, climbing and stretching are required outside in the weather for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability Ensure that loads are positioned and placed securely
- Ability to repair and maintain the front loader, crusher, forklift and/or Skid Steer; Perform pre-operations check and other inspections/cleaning as prescribed
- Work with ground workers to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
- Willingness to provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
- Ability to pass a background check on a case to case basis with no violent crimes or serious theft.
- Forklift Experience required
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment; Experience in automotive repair or dismantling.
Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Assisting with cleaning and related duties to maintain plant operations
- Operating a forklift in the movement of bins and equipment
- Assisting with yard/facility cleanup and maintenance
- Following all safety guidelines and protocol, including wearing of all PPE
- Steel toed boots required - All other PPE will be provided by the company
Forklift Operator Details:
- Schedule: Monday- Friday 5:00am/6:45am to 4:15pm/5:00pm
- Pay Rate: $22 (44 hour work week, optional OT on Saturdays)
