Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our team, specializing in silicone products. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with high-quality, industry-leading silicone productsin a lab environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate packaging of various silicone-based products, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment. You will work closely with the production and lab teams to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in the packaging area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Packaging Operations:

    • Accurately package silicone-based products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
    • Inspect products for defects or quality issues before packaging to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Properly label products with correct information, including batch numbers, part numbers, and expiration dates when applicable.
    • Safely operate packaging equipment such as sealing machines, labelers, and automated systems.
    • Ensure packaging materials are sufficient and place orders for supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control & Safety:

    • Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure proper sealing, labeling, and packaging integrity.
    • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and contamination.
    • Communicate any issues related to product defects, equipment malfunction, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Complete and maintain accurate production records, including lot numbers, quantities, and packaging details.
    • Report any discrepancies, quality concerns, or operational issues promptly to the Packaging Supervisor.
    • Assist in maintaining inventory levels of packaging materials and supplies.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines and achieve team goals.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging processes and reduce waste.
    • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment through open communication and cooperation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience:

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing or packaging role is preferred, especially within a lab or controlled environment.
    • Experience with silicone products or similar materials is a plus but not required.
    • Familiarity with packaging equipment and basic troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Good manual dexterity and ability to operate various packaging tools and equipment.
    • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
    • Comfortable working in a cleanroom or lab environment with protective gear (e.g., gloves, lab coats).
  • Education:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Additional certifications or training in packaging or manufacturing environments are a plus.
