Job Description The Quality Inspector is responsible for the final inspection of aerospace jet engine parts. The Inspector must comply with customer requirements and inspection methods. This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Quality Operations Supervisor. Key Responsibilities • Final Inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components • Experience operating CMM using PCDMIS a plus • Inspection includes visual and dimensional using required gaging and measuring equipment • Measure various features and holes on a part or component and determine if the part is acceptable to customer requirements • Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to understand customer specifications • Ensure that all parts being inspected meet customer criteria for an acceptable part • If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task • Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations Job Requirements • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace industry or general manufacturing environment is a plus • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures • Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools • A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required MB Aerospace is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
