If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended. Job Details:JOB TITLE: SCALER OPERATORI. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOBThe essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: placing frozen packages of travel product into boxes.Ensure scale is reset at the beginning of shift. Sets scale up for order to be run. Must ensure that all entries keyed from the order on the board is correct (i.e. price, customer, sales order number, date, tare, and product code). If a box is labeled incorrectly, the line leader must be notified immediately. Ensure that all price labels and box- end labels are straight and in proper placement on all packages and boxes. Places correct number of packages in proper size box Visually checks packages for visible defects. Ensure that a tare card and cardboard is given to the Line Leader at the start of each order. If scale is reset for any reason, scaler must give the Line Leader a new tare card. Places boxes on moving conveyor to be strapped and stacked. Can operate the belt conveying product from the 28-degree room. Allows damaged packages or packages with bad quality to travel to the end of the line. Must notify Line Leader immediately if scale is inoperable and in need of maintenance. Tyson team members are required to follow proper hygiene practices and ensure the correct wearing of PPE. Maintain good housekeeping around their scale and work area. All other duties as assigned by management. Must be able to work in temperatures not exceeding 55 degrees Fahrenheit. II. MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB This position requires team members to get to their work area; walk through damp conditions to reach department This job also requires the individual to weigh frozen and label individual packages using a pinching, grabbing, repetitive motion. Packages weigh approximately 1-13 pounds. Must be able to reach shoulder level to get empty boxes This job also requires standing for long periods of time while performing the job (average 8 hours). Team member must be able to push boxes (after they are filled) onto conveyor belt with rollers. The boxes weigh 10-70 lbs with an average of 35-50 lbs.
