Job Description:

Receiving Clerk Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in (Elgin IL,) within the manufacturing industry. We are looking for a friendly passionate person to join a great team as a Machine Operator. A charismatic person that loves to be detail orientated organize, punctual, and working in industrial environment. Receiving/Warehousing

  • Qualification Requirements: Must be a High school graduate or have a G.E.D. Have good arithmetic and communication skills. Must speak English. Must be able to work as a team and get along well with others. Must posess basic PC skills. Must have an Illinois driver's license. Must be able to operate a fork lift.
  • Reports to: Plant Manager
  • Authority: May place raw materials on Hold due to nonconformities. Can accept or refuse incoming shipments from vendors.
  • Special Circumstances of the Job: Must be able to work overtime. Must be able to work in a warm atmosphere. Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
  • Job Duties, Functions, Responsibilities: Verifies raw materials received with corresponding bill of lading (i.e. material grade or part numbers, lot numbers, quantity received). Confirms that a C.O.C. or C.O.A. was received with shipment and prior to inclusion into inventory. Maintains raw materials inventory in computer. Unloads trucks. Stores inserts after Incoming Inspector has approved them. Maintains and organizes warehouse. Dates all plastic materials received and observes F.I.F.O. Mixes and blends materials and concentrates per supervisor's instructions. Verifies insert inventory and all packaging materials on a weekly basis. Removes all inserts from stock during his/her shift and completes necessary documentation. Notifies Plant Manager or Purchasing Agent when current jobs running are low on raw materials. Inspects all incoming material for damage due to shipping. Prepares material left over from prior runs for inclusion into production. Returns material left over from previous runs to appropriate warehouse location.
  • Other Duties: Attend Shift Change Meeting when required. May be required to perform Truck Driver's duties when he/she is unavailable.
  • Quality Responsibilities: Notifies Shift Foreman of any suspect material. Completes all quality training offered by the company. Separates the nonconforming material until inspector or supervisor scraps or quarantines it. Must be aware of and follow all safety procedures.
  • Results Expected: Expected to keep supervisors abreast of any potential material shortages Must be able to drive a forklift English is a must Detail-oriented. Excellent organization and leadership skills. Loads/Unloads trucks. Verifies raw material received with corresponding bill of lading( i.e material grade or part numbers, lot numbers, quantity received) Confirms that a C.O.C or C.O.A was received with shipment and prior to inclusion into inventory.
