Job Overview Assist with the overall daily operation of the school and help ensure the safety and health of our students throughout the day. Position Responsibilities: Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with arrival and departure of students.
  • Answer office phones, assist visitors, students, teachers as needed throughout the day in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Practices and promotes positive interactions with students, school staff, clergy, parish staff, parents, and the community.
  • Work effectively and efficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheet, and Google Docs.
  • Assist office as needed in posting announcements in bulletin, creating flyers, etc..
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Prinicpal

  • School Office Administrative Assistant experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent computer skills required: Google platform; Microsoft Office Suite (proficient in Word and Excel spreadsheets).
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Willingness to help and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Love for children and supports a rich Catholic faith life.
  • Background check required and compliance in VIRTUS.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, feel with hands, reach with arms, walk up or down multiple flights of stairs, and be physically able to perform duties as assigned, including the ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds if needed.
  • Works in standard office and school building environments but also has ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
Hours
  • This is a full-time (benefited) position. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:30pm.
  • Hourly compensation is in accordance with the candidate's level of education and years of service as specified on the current Diocese of Joliet Catholic Support Staff Compensation Guidelines.
