Hourly wage is $14 per hour but will increase to $15.00 per our in January 2025. Work hours may not exceed 29 hours per week. The Part-time Cafeteria Supervisor will work 7:00am - 12:30pm each Monday-Friday that classes are in session as per a schedule developed by the Principal. Cafeteria Supervisor Seeking an energetic and dynamic Cafeteria Supervisor has experience working with people and enjoys cooking. Ideal candidates are individuals who are interested in interacting with elementary school students, helping them to follow lunchroom rules, teach children how to use indoor voices and table manners while enjoying lunch, and maintaining a safe environment while the students enjoy lunch. Help distribute milk and hot lunches, and help to maintain a welcoming lunch environment for all. Supervisor will have assistance from teachers and parent volunteers. Job Responsibilities -Must have or obtain food handlers' certificate (online course available) -Unpacks and heats hot lunches -Serves hot lunches to students -Cleans the cafeteria (school custodian will assist with cleaning) -Cleans the kitchen Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards - Works in standard office and school building environments. - Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. -The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. -Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. -Ability to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs on a regular basis. -Physically able to perform the duties as assigned including the ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds if needed.
