Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model and witness to our faith community
- Embrace the Augustinian Values of Truth, Unity and Love
- Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies
- Develop and coordinate programs for students and parents addressing student mental health, student behavior, and other student concerns
- Collaborate in school's DEI initiatives
- Develop and facilitate groups based on the assessed need of the students
- Provide faculty and staff with essential information on factors (cultural, societal, economic, familial, health, etc.) affecting student performance and behavior.
- Develop staff in-service training programs
- Perform risk assessments
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling
- Participate in special education assessments and educational planning meetings
- Provide crisis intervention and work as part of a crisis and emergency planning team
- Help students in the development of appropriate social skills
- Assist in conflict resolution and anger management
- Assist parents in accessing and utilizing community resources
Professional Credentials:
- Type 73 Certificate w/ School Social Worker Endorsement (Required)
- Current IL PEL (Required)
- School Social Work Experience (Preferred)
Certifications and Requirements (May be completed after hire):
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate
- Illinois Sexual Harassment Training Certificate
- Diocese of Joliet Protecting God's Children
- Diocese of Joliet Fingerprinting & Background Check
- Work Physical/Statement of Health from Physician
