  • Para Pro Assessment OR Associate Degree or its equivalent (60) college credits to obtain para certification thru DEEDS
  • Experience working with students
  • Ability to Work with individuals and small groups of children.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 40-50 lbs. periodically.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Teacher in Preparing instructional materials to be used in the program.
  • Working with assigned children under the teacher's direction.
  • Administering and scoring appropriate screenings and assessments required by the program.
  • Performing other duties as assigned or required by the program.
  • Establishing and maintaining high standards of student behavior consistent with district and school policies.
  • Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
  • Supervising the students throughout the day.
  • Completing record keeping tasks assigned by the teacher.
  • Riding the school bus as needed to monitor and assist with the safe transportation of assigned children (ie. field trips).
  • Assisting in unique needs for students which includes bathrooming and/or diapering.
  • Must be able to teach/serve the educational needs of students remotely and in person.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
