2024 Habitat Marketing VISTA - La Crosse
The goal of the Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA Program is to build a better Wisconsin by assisting local organizations increase capacity and sustainability for programs focused on alleviating poverty, while developing new leadership to help strengthen Wisconsin's communities and move them forward. With passion, commitment, and hard work, our VISTAs help affiliates bring individuals & communities out of poverty. Located along the Mississippi River, Habitat For Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region serves La Crosse, Vernon, and Trempealeau counties in western Wisconsin, and Houston County in Minnesota. HFH La Crosse has built over 40 homes since becoming an affiliate in 1992 and continues to improve housing conditions. Their mission is to bring people together to provide and preserve affordable housing opportunities and create a community where all feel they belong. Immerse yourself in this vibrant town, home of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, and enjoy the outdoor amenities of this region: rivers for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking, biking, and skiing among the rolling hills of the Driftless Region, untouched by the glaciers that flattened much of the Midwest 10,000 years ago. Member Duties : You'll create and implement social media strategies to grow ReStore donations, traffic, and sales; increase volunteer engagement; promote Habitat services; and grow awareness of Habitat. 1) Work with the Community Outreach Director to create and implement the marketing strategies for HFH of the Greater La Crosse Region, including social media. 2) EVENTS - Support planning and execution of annual events to engage volunteers, donors, and advocates. 3) CONTENT CREATION - Generate original blogs, videos, infographics, and print material that promotes Habitat for Humanity to the Greater La Crosse community. 4) SOCIAL MEDIA - Manage social media channels for Habitat Affiliate and ReStore. Benefits include 30-hour work week and $100 housing stipend. Interviews are done on a rolling basis. Please submit an application as soon as possible to ensure consideration.
