Job Description:
Position Summary

Provide general office support for Professional departments (Audit, Tax, SALT, ERAS, FLVS) requiring limited knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Simple tasks may be assigned as needed by department and may include a combination of basic client work, filing and data entry. Position is typically temporary and part-time.

Tasks
  • Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach, methodology & tools
  • Learn and practice basic preparation skills for federal and state tax returns.
  • Input client's working trial balance into software and make adjustments.
  • Perform analytical review of audit documents.
  • Compile, copy, sort, and file documents.
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.

  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

  • Computer Skills – Ability to operate spreadsheet, word processing and email programs.
Experience and Education

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); No experience required.Enrollment in an accounting program at an accredited college/university.
