2025 Dissertation Fellowship and Sandell Grant Programs - Research on Retirement or Disability PolicyThe Center for Retirement Research at Boston College sponsors the annual Dissertation Fellowship Program in the field of retirement or disability research. The program is funded by the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) and provides funding opportunities for doctoral candidates to pursue cutting-edge research on retirement or disability issues. Individuals from historically underserved or underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.Fellowship AwardsTwo $28,000 fellowships will be awarded to doctoral candidates enrolled in an accredited program at a U.S. university. Recipients may be required to present their work to SSA in Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD.Opportunities for doctoral candidates to pursue research on retirement or disability policy.Two $28,000 awards for students with A.B.D. status enrolled in a U.S. university's accredited program.The Center for Retirement Research sponsors the annual Steven H. Sandell Grant Program for scholars in the field of retirement or disability research and policy. The program is funded by the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) to provide opportunities for junior or non-tenured scholars (within seven years of receiving their Ph.D.) from all academic disciplines to pursue cutting-edge projects on retirement or disability issues. Individuals from historically underserved or underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.Two $50,000 grants will be awarded based upon the quality of the proposals and the proposed budgets. Recipients are required to complete the research outlined in their proposals within one year of the award. Recipients may be required to present their work to SSA in Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD.Opportunities for junior or non-tenured scholars to pursue research on retirement or disability policy.Two $50,000 grants awarded to researchers with a Ph.D. or comparable credentials.The application deadline for both programs is January 31, 2025.#J-18808-Ljbffr
