About the Job
The BioAnalytical BioAssay Team is hiring for a Co-op position to support the process characterization and drug product development for late phase clinical biopharmaceutical drug products. Using ELISA methods and other analytical techniques, process residual host cell proteins (rHCP) that arise during the drug manufacturing process using the mammalian platform will be assessed for process clearance, and immunogenicity. This effort will help to guide the manufacturing process strategy and support the patient safety determination required for new drug applications submitted to global health authorities. This a laboratory-based role. The successful candidate will participate in the development, qualification and characterization of impurity-based ELISA detection methods as well as the determination of the rHCP safety profile to support biotherapeutic drug product commercialization.

Job Responsibilities:
* The candidate will be partnered with a Scientist to perform method development and qualification of ELISA based impurity assays to support the detection of host cell proteins using commercially available kits or proprietary product specific host cell protein assays.
* Plan, prioritize and execute simple and complex experiments with the relevant controls with appropriate guidance from their supervisor.
* Compile, analyze, and interpret data under supervision.
* Help maintain a GMP compliant laboratory.
* Write simple technical reports including clear and concise technical data presentation and discussion. Present on technical aspects internally.
Basic Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Biology, Biological/Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2026
* Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
* Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hrs./week for the full duration of the internship or Co-Op
* Must have permanent US work authorization
* Basic understanding of ELISA methodology
* Required to follow SOP's and departmental procedures to document experimental data in a GMP compliant laboratory.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior Intern or co-op experience working in a laboratory environment.
