Howwillyoumakeanimpact? Students will be matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned. Projects may include the following responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to identify and address areas to improve efficiency and benchmark with industry best practices.
- Become a process owner; critically review specific processes with great attention to detail and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Learn continuous improvement methodologies (i.e., PPI, Six Sigma, and others) and help promote improvement initiatives.
- Align with all company safety, training, and quality regulations (i.e. ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements, etc.) and procedures.
- Execute experimental plans, analyze data, and contribute to technical reports and product summaries.
- Investigate new methods/technologies and maintain accurate lab notebook to support protection of intellectual property in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher required standards.
- Work collaboratively with other functions including Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, and/or Marketing in the commercialization of new products.
Compensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate Research & Development co-ops offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $28.75 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of co-op to be eligible for the relocation stipend.
Howwillyougethere? - Undergraduate student completing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree.

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

purpose of obtaining practical experience. Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.00-$25.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
