We are hiring for the following positions:UshersThe Somerset Patriots are looking for friendly, energetic people to help show people to their seats, answer general fan questions, and help keep the concourses orderly and safe.
- Greet fans as they enter the ballpark
- Monitoring a specific set of sections or specialty area in the ballpark
- Help work our Customer Service desk as needed
- Wipe down seats prior to gates opening
- Direct fans to their seat location
- Be flexible enough to work other jobs in the ballpark (promotional games, parking, etc. and assist with Patriots front office staff with the field tarp)
- Squeegee walkways on rainy days or nights
- Enforcing rules of the ballpark to ensure fan safety
Ticket TakersThe Somerset Patriots are looking for friendly and welcoming people to help scan tickets and assist fans as they first arrive.
- Greeting Fans as they enter the ballpark
- Scanning Tickets as they enter the ballpark
- Assist in distribution of promotional and sponsored giveaways at the beginning and end of games
- Direct fans to their seating location or ticket office if they need further assistance
- Check bags for items not allowed into the ballpark
Janitorial AttendantsThe Somerset Patriots are looking for both male and female maintenance workers to help with general ballpark upkeep and cleanliness during games.
- Game day upkeep of public areas
- Emptying trash receptacles, cleaning spills, and general cleanup
- Upkeep of restrooms (wiping down counters, mopping floors and restocking paper products and soap)
- Squeegee walkways on rainy days or nights
- Providing quality customer service to all customers and fans
- Assisting with cleaning of non-public areas, such as offices on some nights
- Previous maintenance experience helpful but not necessary.
Parking AttendantsThe Somerset Patriots are looking for qualified individuals to assist with parking cars in the lots at TD Bank Ballpark on game nights.
- Greeting fans as they enter the parking lots
- Collecting money, providing parking pass and distributing change to fans
- Directing fans as to where to go and answering any and all questions they might have as they come to the ballpark
- Working with the police in directing both car and foot traffic to ensure overall safety of our fans
- Exiting all cars out of the ballpark, and directing fans safely through the parking lots at the conclusion of all Patriot home games
- Enforcing standard safety rules to ensure fan safety
- Ability to make change without a calculator
Retail AssociatesThe Somerset Patriots are looking for candidates to work selling merchandise at the ballpark. This would include sales inside the store and around the ballpark at various locations, and could include being a roaming sales person in the stands (a hawker).
- Greeting fans as they enter shop
- Folding and re-stocking of merchandise
- Assist customers to locate specific sizes and styles of merchandise
- Operation of cash register (point of sale)
- Providing quality customer service to all customers and fans
- Selling Merchandise at mobile kiosks in the ballpark
- Hawking Merchandise in the stands and suites
- Ability to sell merchandise, handle money and make change without the use of a calculator
- Previous retail experience helpful but not required
MascotsThe Somerset Patriots are looking for a creative, energetic and talented performer to fill the role of Mascot for community appearances. (There are no set hours to this job as it is an on-call type position. A Patriots front office member will be reaching out to you in advance with dates and times of specific community events.)
- Representing the Patriots in the community at various off-site functions.
- Possibly performing at a Somerset Patriots Home game
- Fan interaction at all Patriots home games, especially with children
- Other duties as assigned by Patriots management
Qualified Applicants should:
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be good with children
- Be self-motivated, creative and able to perform in front of large crowds
- Have reliable transportation
- Have a flexible schedule. Appearances can be during the day, at night, on weekends, or on some Holidays
- Previous experience as a mascot or performer preferred but not required.
*All qualified applicants may also be asked to return to take part in an audition in the mascot costume. *Essential Responsibilities for All Positions

- Ability to handle problem situations in a fast and professional manner
- Ability to represent the Somerset Patriots in a professional fashion
- General knowledge of the ballpark and the location of its amenities including, restrooms, first aid, customer service, ATM machine, etc
