Position Overview Obra Capital is looking to hire a motivated and energetic individual to join our Operations team for a 10-week summer analyst program that will run from June 2nd, 2025 to August 8th, 2025. This position will sit within our middle office supporting both our operational team and our investment team in all trade processing and back-end data management. This position will give the individual exposure to multiple departments of the firm including, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Trading and Investor Relations. This a dynamic opportunity for someone seeking a career in the alternative investment space. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic track record, communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position will report into our Head of Operations. Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in a STEM or business discipline with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or June 2026
  • Top Academic Performance (Minimum 3.5 GPA)
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with database languages such as but not limited to SQL, Python, VBA etc.
  • A keen interest in financial markets with a desire to pursue a career in the financial services arena.
  • Ability to work in-office full time for the duration of the program.
Responsibilities
  • Regularly maintain and update various databases, compiling information in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work with our trading teams in order to optimize workflows.
  • Partnering and collaborating with various internal teams at Obra at numerous management levels
  • Continuously update documentation ensuring they are adhering to both internal and external compliance standards.
  • Respond to 3rd party requests, escalating to the appropriate point of contact within the organization when necessary.
  • Work to improve end to end operational support, including enhancement of processes, software & learning tools
  • Responsible for ad-hoc requests
In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the compensation for this role is $35 per hour at Obra Capital. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
