Open Date 11/13/2024 Position 211 Community Resource Specialist Category Social Services Description Background check required General InformationPosition Title: 211 Community Resource Specialist, FT Location: Main Office Date: March 6, 2024 Reporting Relationship(s): Position reports to the Community Referral Manager Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00am - 4:00 pm 28 - 37.5 hours/week, as scheduled FLSA Classification: Non-exempt - Salary range - $ 25.00 - $27.00 General Summary The Community Resource Specialist ensures the accuracy and quality of the 211 databases in accordance with Inform USA standards. They also serve as a 211 Community Connector in the call center as necessary. This role requires active participation as a call center team member to achieve agency goals. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct annual updates with agencies in the 211 databases via various communication channels to maintain database accuracy and Inform USA accreditation.
- Continuously update database resources as agency/program changes occur.
- Assist with human services data collection to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Interview and screen potential new resources for inclusion in the database.
- Promote awareness of current and new services/resources.
- Respond to 211 requests through phone, text, and email.
- Assist in the roll out of seasonal/short term projects by attending partner meetings and providing updates.
- Act as 211 Community Connector when necessary.
- Perform additional assigned responsibilities.
Education Requirements B.A. in Human Services field or related field preferred. Comparable experience considered. Demonstrated crisis management ability required. Previous Experience Preferred The ability to respond to callers with a wide range of human service needs; experience linking people with needed community resources Knowledge and Skills Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position

Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of Inform USA Community Resource Specialist and Community Resource Specialist-Database certification exams after completion of one year on the job.
