Job DescriptionCMHA-CEI is a Michigan Certified Bronze Level Veteran Friendly Employer and we encourage active military service members, veterans, and their family members to apply.Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Court and Community Liaison Team Coordinator, serves as a professional performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health services to consumers with severe and persistent mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders. Serves along with the State Hospital Liaison with the primary duty of assisting with the Liaison between Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS) and State and Local hospitals, State and Federal prisons, and the Center for Forensic Psychiatry. Responsible for extensive case documentation. Assesses challenging behaviors and emotional trauma by interviewing and observing consumers, reviewing appropriate records, and assisting in connecting consumers to appropriate outpatient services and residential care. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies, and procedures.Requirements: A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required. A minimum of one year of professional experience working with persons with mental illness is required. On a case-by-case basis, we may assess and consider an applicant with two years of paraprofessional experience working with persons with mental illness required. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI's computer systems, including SmartCare, MIS LIVE, and Microsoft Word. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.Hours/Salary: $23.34 - $26.53 per hour. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 40 hours per week may be required some evening hours.Location: Adult Mental Health/Court Team, Lansing, MI
