The Cooler Warehouse Associate performs shipping operation duties to ensure quality product is packaged, prepared, and loaded for delivery to customers in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
- Accurately count and record products on load out sheets, including quantity, code, loader name, and Checkers Initials.
- Identifies and flags any non-conforming product (code, label, short fill, missing carton, leaker, etc.) and sends to rework.
- Review available product by code date both visibly and in electronic inventory to ensure proper product rotation.
- Ensure all product is assembled in staging area for loading.
- Complete all required documentation and scheduled product checks.
- Place safety seals on trailers and record appropriately.
- Rotating, stacking and storing product in its proper place in the cooler while cleaning the floor areas during the shift as a section is opened up by the senders and completely rinsing off all product affected during the cleaning process.
- Notify supervisor if inferior or damaged product is entering the cooler from the production area.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
- Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- 2 years refrigerated warehouse and/or shipping experience, required.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as needed.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
- Supervisory experience, preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (focus on Excel), preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment.
Salary Description $15 - $18hr *rate based on experience
