Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a customer service representative, the position will manage and coordinate the docks used for incoming and outgoing shipments for the site. This person will coordinate with Shift Leads regarding the moving of pallets, other incoming products, and materials by forklift operators and other material handlers.

  • Arranging administrative items for incoming and outgoing shipment contents and comparing with past history to ensure accuracy.
  • Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials. Reporting administrative discrepancies.
  • Constant communication with carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for the shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Corresponding with customer representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, scheduling issues, and pickup dates and times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma/equivalent or 2 or more years' experience in a warehouse setting
  • Previous knowledge of Shipping and Receiving
  • Customer service
