Job Overview The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician supports the overall Food Safety Plan through monitoring, record/product review and inspections.
Job Responsibilities - Conduct verification inspections for post sanitation and pre-operation cleans.
- Conduct pre-operational and environmental monitoring swabs
- Conduct plating of environmental monitoring swabs
- Monitor room, cooler and incubator temperatures.
- Conduct routine testing and monitoring of product and packaging attributes to established specifications
- Conduct daily review of labels and retain product
- Conduct real time review of production records
- Conduct daily line inspections.
- Conduct routine data entry and filing of paper work
- All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures
- All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by plant FSQA leadership.

- The pay for this position is $21.65-$22.65. All offers will be based on a candidate's skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees and certifications, and internal equity. This range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations.
Required Education and Experience - High School Degree
- Ability to complete tasks based on standard procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work cross-functionally
- Basic Computer skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Education and Experience - Associate's degree in Food Science or related field
- SAP experience.
- HACCP Certification.
Working Conditions • Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands. • Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required. • Work is performed in a lab setting. • Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery. • Work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 60-80 degrees F.
