Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Tech Intern to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 270. This position has a starting hourly wage of $20.89 + a 4.5% shift premium. All offers of employment by Milwaukee Valve Company, LLC. are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, blood test, physical capabilities test, and background check, all with acceptable results. Applicants are responsible scheduling and completing the required drug screen, blood test, and physical capabilities test within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance. The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 2:30PM-11:00PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. For more information please visit:Our HomepageBronze Foundry TourSummary - Assist with troubleshooting and repair all types of foundry and machine shop machinery and equipment both electrical and mechanical. Perform preventative maintenance work. Must be enrolled in an Electromechanical or industrial Maintenance Course to qualify.Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:
  • Assisting Qualified Maintenance personnel with working on all plant equipment, including various types of electrical repairs, maintaining foundry and shop machinery, heating systems, foundry furnaces, air compressors, electrical, plumbing
  • Requires basic working knowledge of various types of trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with various repairs.
  • Operate and use of various types of power tools, including but not limited to hand tools, welders, torches, and other types of maintenance shop machinery with assistance of qualified maintenance personnel.
  • Rebuild or create parts for machinery for both foundry and machine shop areas with assistance of qualified maintenance personnel
